IHS Parking Policy
Parking a student car on the Interlake campus is a privilege. To gain and maintain this privilege a student must register his or her car in the office, obtain a parking permit, and drive safely! Parking permits cost $100.00 per year. Students who choose to purchase a parking permit are not eligible to obtain a Metro bus pass. More details are covered in the IHS Student Parking and Carpool Parking Policy, which includes a vehicle registration form that must be filled out and turned into the office.
Traffic Flow Plan
School begins at 7:30 am and peak traffic congestion times in the school parking lot are from 7:10 am to 7:35 am. To reduce the amount of congestion in the morning, it is recommended to parents that they drop off students between 7:00 and 7:15 if possible. In the afternoon, school dismissal is 2:30 p.m. at the end of regular classes, 3:05 p.m. at the end of the daily tutorial (M, Tu, Th, F). Dismissal is 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays (no tutorial). Peak afternoon traffic congestion is 2:30 – 2:45 pm (12:30 – 12:45 pm on Wednesdays). Drivers: please familiarize yourselves with the school traffic flow description and map.
